CARETAKER

Start date: 4th February 2019 or as soon as the right candidate is available

Salary: Grade E17 (£18,672) - E19 (£19,946) pro rata per annum

Hours: 10 hours per week, 5.00pm – 7.00pm Monday – Friday (term time only)

Location: Avon Valley College

Contract Term: Permanent

Avon Valley College is an academy within Salisbury Plain Academies Trust. We need to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible, hardworking and reliable person to join our site team.

The successful candidate will work under the direction and guidance of the Operations Manager. We are looking for someone who will work effectively within our team but also be able to organise and manage their own time well, showing initiative and flexibility when necessary. We need someone who takes pride in their work and who likes to make a positive difference.

Ideally, the successful candidate should have experience in building maintenance in a number of trades and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site.

Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but not essential.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISORY ASSISTANTS

Start date:                  Ongoing

Salary:                        Grade D point 17 £9.68 - per hour (term time only)

Location:                    Avon Valley College

Hours:                         3.75 hours per week (Monday – Friday 45 mins per day)

We are looking to appoint three Lunch Time Supervisory Assistants to work 45 minutes per day supervising our students during their lunch break.   

About the role

To supervise and assist students during lunchtime, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner

The person we are looking for should:

  • be able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions;

  • have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people;

  • be able to talk in a clear and calm manner;

  • be able to work as part of a group and on own initiative;

  • encourage high standards of student behaviour at all times;
