The objectives of the Parent Forum are:
To promote partnership between the College, its pupils, and all its parents.
To actively identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the College, and other matters affecting the education and welfare of its pupils.
The forum is made up of volunteer parents of children who attend the school, and is open to all parents at the college. It is desirable that the Forum reflect the diversity of the community, for example parental representation from the Armed Forces, all Year Groups, different cultures and ethnicities, gifted and talented and SEN etc.
The Forum will meet three times a year. Dates of future meetings and the minutes of past meetings will be available to all via the College website or on paper by contacting the Communications Officer at the College. Updates on the Forum's activities will also be shared via the College Newsletter and AVC Review.
The Forum is an advisory body and has no financial or statutory powers.
There are no official Office Bearers, although the College will provide a minute taker for meetings, and support with other administration tasks such as circulating minutes, writing articles for the News Sheet, AVC Review and updating the Website.
