Summer Exam Results
GCE Results: Thursday 16th August 2018
Congratulations to all of our Year 13 students, 100% of whom were accepted into their first choice universities! 100% of students gained a pass or higher in 3 or more A Levels and 100% of students achieved Distinction* to Merit in Level 3 vocational subjects.
Amelia Blandford (Head Girl) and Alishia Horner (Deputy Head Girl) were both delighted with their places at Winchester University to study Sport Business and Marketing and English and Media respectively. Bethany Hawkin (Head Girl) is looking forward to accepting an offer at Oxford Brookes University to further her studies in Sociology, and she was very pleased with her A Grade in this subject! Chloe McBeath (Deputy Head Girl) is pleased to be taking up her place at Bath Spa University to study Media. Alice Evans, who was extremely happy with her Distinctions* in Art, is off to Bournemouth Art University to study Illustration.
These results represent the significant improvements the school has made over the past year and are over a grade higher on average than the previous year.
We wish all of our students the best of luck in their chosen destinations and congratulate them on their hard work.

GCSE Results: Thursday 23rd August collect between 10am and 11am from Jenkins Hall
It is the aim of Avon Valley College to make the examination experience as successful and stress-free as possible for all candidates.
Examination Boards lay down very strict criteria which has to be followed for the entry into and conduct of examinations and Avon Valley College is required to follow them precisely. Please download the .pdfs below for more information.
Avon Valley’s Exams Officer, is currently Mrs M Toomer. Mrs M Toomer is a non-teaching member of staff who submits exam entries, organises timetables, oversees the exams themselves and processes results.
Exam certificates: Certificates are now available for collection for the Summer 2017 exam series. You should ensure that all certificates are kept in a safe location as you will have to contact exam boards for any replacement certificates and you will be liable for the costs.
Please note that exam certificates will only be kept for three years and after then they are destroyed. You will need to contact the exam boards for a new copy of your certificates and they will charge you for this.
Access arrangements: The Exams Office and our Special Educational Needs Department in the Skills Centre work closely together to ensure that students who have been identified as having special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries are able access all areas of examinations and controlled assessments in order to achieve their full potential.
